1. General Provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the relationship between the Guide (Vadim Sotropa), registered in France as an Auto-entrepreneur (SIRET 84291296600012), and the User, who books and participates in private tours or photoshoots through the Website paris-local.com.
1.2. By booking a service on this Website, the User confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
1.3. The Guide reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect from the moment they are published on the Website.
2. Services
2.1. The Guide provides private walking tours and photoshoots in Paris, including historical storytelling, local culture, iconic landmarks, and lesser-known locations.
2.2. For each service, the description, duration, and price are indicated on the Website.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1. Bookings are made via the booking form on the Website or via links on the specific tour page.
3.2. The User may choose between two booking formats:
• Booking without prepayment: available starting 14 days before the tour date. The User pays after the tour. During peak periods (holidays and school vacations), booking without prepayment may open 7 days before the tour date.
• Booking well in advance: if the User wishes to book more than 14 days in advance, a prepayment of 35 percent is required by bank transfer to the Guide’s professional euro account. The prepayment confirms and secures the selected date.
3.3. Payment after the tour can be made in the following ways:
- in cash in euros;
- by bank transfer to the professional euro account;
- via PayPal.
3.4. After payment, the User receives an electronic receipt as official proof of payment to a registered sole trader.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
4.1. Bookings without prepayment (14 days or less before the tour)
The User may cancel or reschedule the tour by sending a message via WhatsApp or Telegram. It is important to inform the Guide as early as possible so that the time slot can be offered to other guests. If the User does not show up and does not inform the Guide in advance, the Guide reserves the right not to accept future bookings from this User.
4.2. Bookings with prepayment (more than 14 days before the tour)
The User may cancel and receive a full refund of the 35 percent prepayment if the cancellation is made within 48 hours after the prepayment has been made. After 48 hours, the date is considered confirmed and the prepayment is non-refundable. Rescheduling is possible but depends on availability of alternative dates.
4.3. Cancellation initiated by the Guide
If the Guide cancels the service due to unforeseen circumstances, the User will receive a full refund of any prepayment made or will be offered the option to reschedule to another available date.
5. User Responsibilities
5.1. The User must provide accurate and complete information when making a booking.
5.2. The User must arrive on time at the agreed meeting point.
5.3. During the tour, the User must follow public order, local rules, and applicable laws.
6. Liability and Disclaimer
6.1. The Guide is not liable for:
- delays or no-shows by the User;
- loss or theft of personal belongings;
- weather conditions, transport delays, or actions of third parties.
6.2. Participation in tours and photoshoots is at the User’s own risk.
6.3. The Guide is not liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond their control, including natural disasters, strikes, actions of public authorities, or public health emergencies.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1. All materials on the Website (texts, images, tour routes, and other content) are protected by copyright.
7.2. Any copying, distribution, or use of materials without prior permission is prohibited.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
8.1. The Guide collects only the personal data necessary for bookings and customer service.
8.2. Personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR, UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
8.3. Users have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of their data.
8.4. Users may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting help@paris-local.com.

9. Governing Law
9.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of France.
9.2. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
